Women's Ministry

Join Our
Vision

The Chattahoochee Baptist Association Women’s Leadership Team invites you to join in our vision for the women in our churches and communities.

A Woman’s Lifestyle

Casting a vision for the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and Women’s Enrichment Ministry (WEM) leadership in our regional churches to be intentional in raising up women whose lifestyle reflects Christ through Personal Enrichment, Relationships, Evangelism Outreach, Prayer Life, Missions Discipleship and Service.

Personal Enrichment

Being Challenged By God’s Word

The word of God is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

  • Women want to be taught truth.
  • Women want to be involved in Bible Study.
  • Women want a safe place to ask questions about scripture.
  • Women want to be able to apply scripture truth to their lives.

Personal Enrichment through Bible Study should be the foundational core of your ministry to women. Whether you are involved in WMU or WEM leadership, you will want to challenge your women to pursue personal spiritual growth and accountability through discipleship and a study of God’s Word. This can be done through a variety of events, Bible studies, conferences, Christian training, retreats and fellowship gatherings. Remember to be creative and sensitive to the needs and interests of the women in your church and community.

Relationships

Communicating to Proclaim Christ

Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. John 13:34-35

  • Women want friends.
  • Women want meaningful conversations.
  • Women need a place where they can be accepted for who they are.
  • Community builds relationships, which builds trust, which is a basis for working together.

God created women for relationships with Him and with each other. When women are accepted for who they are and discipled into who they can be in the body of Christ, they will be led into a lifestyle of ministry among believers.

Evangelism

Communicating to Proclaim Christ

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the suffering for the gospel according to the power of God. 2 Timothy  1:7-8

  • Women want an entry point to invite others.
  • Women need to be equipped and empowered to share their faith verbally.
  • Women need to be aware of other beliefs and how to engage people of those beliefs.
  • Women need to understand missional living.

Church and community ministries open the door for evangelism opportunities. Women’s Evangelism at North American Mission Board (NAMB) trains leaders, provides personal witnessing tools, and group learning resources for equipping women to share their faith. NAMB also provides training, consulting and other resources to help your church members to be on mission for Jesus Christ through evangelism, church planting and missions in the United States and Canada.

Prayer

Praying at All Times

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. “Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38;

“Continue earnestly in prayers, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving….” Colossians 4:2

“and praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit being watchful….” Ephesians 6:18.

  • Women want to be effective pray-ers.
  • Women want to undergird every aspect of their lives and their ministries with prayer.
  • Women need to have awareness of prayer needs for their community, nation, and world.

We believe that God is calling women to share His heart with others. Evangelism begins with prayer for ourselves and for unbelievers. Women in our churches are valuable partners as they pray, give and go.

Missions

Loving by Serving at Home and Around the World

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven. Matthew 5:16

  • Women are seeking ministry opportunities.
  • Women are looking for missions experiences.
  • Women want to share these experiences with their families.
  • Women want to make a positive and significant difference in the communities.
  • Women are growing in their understanding of God’s heart for the nations.

Georgia WMU/WEM provide tangible and constructive ways for adults, youth, children, and preschoolers to understand God’s missionary purpose, cultivate missionary hearts, and express their missions commitment.

Team Director

Encourage. Equip, and Engage

  • Women want to be heard.
  • Women want to be encouraged.
  • Women want to be equipped.
  • Women want to be challenged.

As Women Leadership Team Director you would serve with and act as liaison between the (Church) Women Leadership Team and the Churchwide Leadership Team or Council. Team Director would also provide opportunities for prayer, team building, coaching, planning and evaluation of the overall mission and ministry of the team.

Equipping & Encouraging You

We want to equip and encourage you to lead your women into a Christian lifestyle that is complete, purposeful and encompassing to the glory of God.
